Disabling AV(Anti-Virus)
To ensure optimal functionality of the software, it is imperative to temporarily disable any active antivirus software. This crucial step prevents potential interference during the installation process and guarantees smooth operation of the software without interruptions.
Initial Step: Uninstall Anti-Cheat Programs
The following anti-cheat programs must be completely removed from your system:
- Faceit AC (CSGO)
- Vanguard AC (Valorant)
These anti-cheat systems are known to conflict with various game modifications and should be uninstalled if present on your system.
Disabling Secure Boot
Certain modifications may require the temporary deactivation of Secure Boot in your system's BIOS settings. Below is a comprehensive guide specifically tailored for ASUS motherboards. Please note that the exact steps may vary depending on your motherboard model. We recommend consulting your motherboard's manual or manufacturer's website for model-specific instructions. The general process consists of the following steps:
-
Access the BIOS: Restart your computer and press the designated key (typically
Del
orF2
) during the boot sequence to enter the BIOS setup. -
Navigate to the Boot Menu: Using the arrow keys, locate and select the 'Boot' tab within the BIOS interface.
-
Locate Secure Boot Option: Find the 'Secure Boot' option within the Boot menu. This may be located under sub-menus such as 'Security' or 'Authentication'.
-
Disable Secure Boot: Change the Secure Boot setting to 'Disabled'. You may need to set the 'OS Type' to 'Other OS' to enable this option.
-
Save and Exit: Save your changes and exit the BIOS setup. Your system will restart with Secure Boot disabled.
Following these steps will ensure Secure Boot is properly disabled, allowing for necessary software modifications. If you encounter any difficulties, please refer to your motherboard's documentation or consult the manufacturer's support resources. Alternatively, you may refer to the video guide below for visual assistance.
Additionally, it is essential to completely remove any third-party antivirus software from your system. Simply disabling these programs is often insufficient, as they can still interfere with the operation of modifications. For optimal performance and to prevent potential conflicts, ensure all antivirus applications are fully uninstalled before proceeding.
